OK so hidden hitch list a front reciever for the 2005 Jeep Liberty. Anyone out there installed a front hitch on a 2005 model (pros, cons). I had the drawtite hitch on my 2002 and was very happy with it, but drawtite say it only fits threw 2004. This hidden hitch looks like it's two pieces. I'm a little worried about the strength of the hidden hitch two piece design. Funny thing is the hidden hitch show to work on all Liberty models, so I wonder if the drawtite would mount up. Thanks,

etrailer.com has both listed for 2004 with the instruction if anyone wants to look at them.

I installed the draw tite #65042 on mine because it looked stronger and had tow points welded on it. It wasn't too difficult to install, but did require removal and some trimming of the bumper cover. Here's a link to some pics.

Hey Phil,

How hard was it to take off the front bumper on the 2005. I remember it being a real pain on my 2002. How did you reinstall the revets after putting the bumper back on.

I'll try to send you some picks latter next week. I should have it all mounted up with the warn 9500xp hooked up.

I figure your gas 2005 and my diesel are pretty close to the same when it comes to installed the hitch.
