18,000 and none so far, maybe you "burninated" them?

K

No burnination here!!!!

I am running Rotella 5w40 & stock Mopar filters (I will be switching to the Mobil 1 filter as I hate the Mopar filter - I have had leak issues with those as well)

I don't think I'm building up any crankcase pressure - I have a provent, but there's a vent in the cap in case the filter plugs to prevent that.

Maybe bad luck?

Went out and got a Mahle OC247 filter. Cannot find any information around about it. Does not seem to have been used other places.

Filter probably does a better job of filtering than standard MOPAR filter (has bigger oil capacity as well).

I voted "None" however, i noticed an oil spot in my drivway... looked under and sure enough looks like the RMS is covered in oil and there are a few drps hanging on from the bottom

Guess i should go get it fixed...

anyone know how much $$$$ the dealer wants for this repair?

Be interesting to see how many failures occur B4 EHM\Provent vs those failures occuring after the mods..............

Also, any liquid seepage above the crank area will naturally gravitate downward and rearward due to the powertrain angle of inclination in the chassis - make sure any drip\seepage is engine oil from the rear mainseal

Other sources could be
oil fill tube
dipstick tube
turbo oil return drain
engine cover
timing cover
oil pan gasket
any device attached to the timing cover
oil pressure switch
Crank Position Sensor
Cam Position Sensor
EHM
Provent
even fuel leaks picking up dirt and grunge along the way can appear to be dirty black engine oil
etc

well im now stuck with the most uglyest 07' OFF YELLOW, PT Cruzer... I think they tryand make you drive the worst loner cars to keep you from asking for one

which means mine is in the shop for the oil leak at 69450 miles... only 550 from being out of warnty.

the big question is:

will they fix it for free, being that i compleatly forgot i have my EHM still hooked up!!! i did remember to plug in my ORM, but not fast enough to have the CEL turn off before i pulled in.
