Have the lifted/bigger tired KJs adjusted the Odometer readings for the larger tires. Probably more than 6% off...just with 235/75/16s and more the larger you go. 15mpg becomes 16.1mpg with just a 6% change

Yes, had it reset to rev. per mi. by the dealer.

how much to they charge to recalibrate? i wouldnt mind doing that so i know for sure that im speeding!

I was quoted $29.00 over the phone, however it was lunch time when I got there and the manager ended up doing it for nothing. It took all of 2 minutes to perform.

If you have access to a GPS compare your KJ MPH with the GPS MPH reading. When I changed from the factory tires to 245/70/16's and compared, the MPH of the KJ and the GPS match. Guess the reading was off originally.

the speedometer is off, stock, but the odometer is not.

like Darby said, the biggest hit you'll see with gas mileage with bigger tires is the inaccurate odometer...I averaged about 16-17 around town with std load 235/70-16s and lifted/big tires i'm seeing about 15-16 mpg, mostly city, but about 70 miles a week highway (stupid girlfriend!)

my air filter's also about a year and a half old...still looks reasonably clean, so i'm not gonna bother changing it. After all, the more dirt that clogs it is just less room other dirt has to pass through, right? :D

I get 17.9 highway and about 15 around town, with the 2.5" lift and 245/75/16 tires.

Freak

I commute over 100 a day all 80 of it highway (which in SoCal is the sam as city driving) I average 18 MPG on the morning run, and 14 in the evening (traffic ). Try to keep a hard eye on the speedo when it's possible to actually get to highway speed and I keep the cruise peged at 65 then.
