dude...FREE spacers???? what kind? Spidertrax run like a hundred or more for a pair....I wouldn't use anything but spidertrax either - and I'm not even sold on that technology for the long haul. be safe with FREE spacers...sounds a bit "iffy'...just be careful.

ok so the tires are ON!!! i did have a bad lower ball joint on the drivers side.it wasnt poping just had some slight play.. i didnt get it fixed today though i plan to get moogs tomorrow and put them in myself (they wanted $75 to put them in). i also plan to get an alignment as soon as i get the ball joint replaced. they finally agreed that the alignment was the problem as well.. i used spacers to put the tires on for now. they gave me a really good deal on it all the spacers we free. so all is resloved and the jeep will be as good as new in the next few days.. thank u all for ur help and my jeep looks great with the new tires!!! oh and i have NO scrubbing either..

Why pay for ball joints when you can get them replaced free under the recall?..... I'm on my second set of replacements, and I'll just keep letting the dealer replace them as long as they're free.

Use that ball joint money to get your alignment!

Well...I know I'm late...but i'm running 245/75s and stock steelies with a minor lift. I rub at full lock with more than just me in the car on the inside edge of the fenderwell liner. Take your rig to the stealership and have them replace the balljoints...and MAKE SURE you get the alignment, and a printout with it. Camber may not be off, but you should always align any time you replace front end parts.

they CAN'T turn you down, it's a safety recall on the OEM parts.

i had the bj's replaced the day after i got back from moab last year.
this was the second time they had to be replaced. both times i had a lift and bigger tires. no questions asked.

like thunderbird said, its a safety issue, they cant turn you down on something like that.

They'll fight tooth and nails to charge you for the alignment since it is not specified to do one in the recall and they won't get paid to do one.You may get lucky if your dealer is a good one,I doubt it though. You also may have to wait for the LBJ's,they have had shortages before on them.Once you get the MOOG's you are no longer part of that recall and the dealer does not have to honor it,unless they can't tell the difference between the OEM LBJ's(made by MOOG) and the MOOG K3199's,it's happened.I have 32,000 miles on my MOOG's and zero play,2 shots of grease every oil change. The last set of OEM LBJ's I had installed(2nd set) only lasted 9000 miles before they where shot.

Yeah I'm a little late, but you should be able to fit that size tire on your lift without spacers. Here is a pic of my old Liberty running 245/75/16 Goodyear MT/Rs on the stock wheels with no spacers on a Rusty's full coil lift.

I agree, get the alignment done, it could make all the difference.
