All,

Good afternoon. Got a new code displayed in the odo display. It its quite cold here (for SC) and it (CRD) sat outside all night. After letting the glow plug light turn off, I fired it up, the chime sounded, the odometer read "LoCool" and the traction control turned off (and hitting the button didn't turn it back on). Anyone else experience this? Is there something wrong? The owners manual is worthless! Thanks in advance.

this is a flat out guess... maybe cause it was so cold the coolant level is a bit low now.

A lot of strange things happen when its cold. I had an airbag light come on this morning when I started the tractor up in -6 F weather. Drove it down to the service station to warmitup and fillitup, and as expected the light did not return on second start. Starting this morning took quite a few turns to get it to kick, but it did kick over on the first try.

I had this happen as well. I added about a cup of water to the recovery bottle and haven't had the locool light come on since. The coolant level showed normal at the cold mark before i added the little bit of water.

same here from last winter .. there seems to be a point right near the full mark where it will still read low when cold .. add a touch of coolant and it registers ok.

Mine has registered low coolant on cold mornings as well. Six or seven days ago, it got down to about 2 degrees overnight and it registered low in the morning. Then it warmed up to the 50's for a couple of days and no problem. This morning it was 6 degrees and the low coolant indicator came on again. I did go ahead and buy some coolant and will check the level again when it warms up a little outside.
