YES WE DO!!

Do you have any dates in mind? Details about which trails or areas? I might not be able to make it until late February at the earliest but definately wanting to get down that way to wheel in the near future.

When do the flowers start blooming down there? My wife would get a kick out of seeing that. (Yeah, me too)

we have quite a few folks down that way so we should definately make plans to get a run going down there.

Late February sounds good...we've done most of the trails there and pretty much all of them are fun. Calcite Mine is pretty cool, but like the description says, its short...maybe we could hit two trails.

I'm down and can probably recruit my friend with an XJ to come with us as well. Let me know if you decide on a specific date.

I'm from St. Louis originally. Spent a lost of time at SEMO before the Navy. Used to romp all through the Ozarks in my teens. Post some pics of your run when you get back. I get kinda homesick looking at all the brown out here. :D

Coyote Canyon is short, but a "must do". The creek has quite a bit of water in it. Before the rains during the last couple of months, it was up to the bottom of my doors. There are plenty of trails of all skill levels for a full weekend of fun. Feb. sounds good to me.

LOST JEEPS has the Calico clean up event on 2/16.

Would 2/23 or 24 work for this ride or should we try early March, 3rd/4th?

I will only be able to attend if I get my KJ back soon and am able to get some of the other things I need to do to it done. Regardless, I would love to see a run down there even if I can't make it so please do one.

Ryan, PIck a date and time and meeting place and make a new post since this one is clogged up w/ OT stuff.

I am going to say I will be there if I get my KJ back real soon and have time to get some stuff finished up on it. I Really do need a few shake down runs before driving it to Moab and driving it down that way would be a good road trip for it.

A friend and I did the outter loop in the Carrol Canyon OHV area on saturday. I'm pretty sure this is the same area as the Los Pinos lookout. The "trail" to the lookout is a paved road. You take the paved road to access the outter loop trail.

Anyway the trail was great. Since we've been getting rain lately, there was a good deal of mud for So-Cal!!! We had some small stream crossing. We were not able to complete the loop as it was gated off, but it was still a good length run since you need to double back. The trail was fun and the KJ made it through no trouble. I'll post pictures in the trip report area once I get them all organized.

This was part of the outer loop trail and it was a very nice run.

I don't mean to high jack this thread, but it's another option for a few other trails.

Late,

Coullt
