well for anyone who doesnt know where the nicolet natioanl forest is. Its in northern wisconsin and covers about a quarter of the upper half of the state. An about new people; i dont see any problem wiht you coming just be prepared to be doin a lot of pushing if you get yourself stuck. An I looking at the second weekend in march(7-9). So far there are no other details set. So if someone can get an idea of these new logging roads that have opened say something.

Wow, it does sound like fun, but it's about a 6.5 hour drive from my house!

I'll have to see if I can talk the wife into letting me shoot up there without her (since she works) and stay for the weekend. Hmmmmmmmm wonder if it will work?

well its good were getting a list of people that want to go now we just need to find a handfull of old logging roads to get out on. Whats the story with the unmaintained logging roads that were just opened up?

i did a bit of checking on places to go and i came up with a few different options. Option 1 is "The Pipeline" outside of lakewood/mountian. It can be a pretty nasty trial even with 50" tires; that is if you dont take some of the bypass routes. An in the begining of march most of the really bad mud bogs should still be frozen. If not you can always go around. It takes about 11 hours to run the trail. The nest option is in black river falls. I dont really have a while lot of information on it right now but it seems like a good set of trails. An the last one is pretty much right next to the pipeline. Its mcalsin mountian. I havnt found a lot about that one either(if i havnt been on it i really dont know about it). I do know that you have to pay for that one. Im leaning more twords the pipeline because of the fact that we have a few new people rolling along with us and the amount of alternate routes would work well for them.

the Pipeline sounds interesting, I'd be interested. I can't commit until we have a firm date. Late Feb or Early March sounds good.

Man I'd really like to come but between the two place you guys are talking, it be around a 5.5 to 7 hour drive meaning I'd want to stay there for the weekend so I'd be looking at a $350-$500 weekend trip. To much for me right now. Hopefully there'll be some mudd'in closer tp me soon. Have fun guys!

alright its firma date setting time. I would rather roll around in the pipeline for a weekend because ive been on the trail before and i know the area around lakewood. I was thinking if the snow hold i want to be up there march 7-9. That should give us just enough stiff ground to to not have libs start going missing in the mud(no joke ive seen it before). Im still working on getting a grid for the trailhead. An i dont know about anyone else but i was planning on throwing out a tent for the weekend and being a man..... just kidding. hotles in the are are pretty cheap if your not into camping in the cold. I do think the only super serious requirements and are tow points and at least one 5000+lb towstrap that at least 30ft long.

Sound great to me, I can do whatever. I assume it would be over a weekend and wouldn't be able to leave until later on Friday night or early on Sat. morning. My weekends around that time are pretty open so I am flexible at this point. Maybe throw out a few dates that you are thinking C co. and we can start from there.

I might be up to ride shotgun with one of you guys. I won't have tow points or really anything else ready by then. I grew up in the Antigo area that isn't all to far away.

Might be interested in going have to see how work pans out . Think my CRD is ready for some dirt or snow . From Stratford/Marshfield area so it wouldn't be that far of a drive. Besides my whinch up front needs a work out. Would be good to meet some fellow liberty owners.

Sorry, I missed that. As far as two way radios, I may be able to get some. Do you think not having skids will be an issue?
