Someone correct me if I am wrong, but when I read the warranty booklet the extended emissions warranty is only for California. The emissions warranty was the first thing I checked.

I thought the CRD was never sold "New" in CA (or MA for that matter). wouldn't meet emissions reqs.

I know it sounds like I am contradicting myself, but I think you're right. Maybe this section in the warranty guide is only for the gassers.
