Anyway, what Jimmy showed us there's a big difference between the hoses as they are now and what we '01-'04 kj CRD owners need.

I've set up the same thread in the euro lost section, please, if you have an older KJ 2.5 or 2.8 CRD let us know if you're interested.

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=29206

Sam I hope you don't mind that I'm stealing your idea? I just think that Samco will have a much bigger market since the CRD has only been available for a short while in the US.

Nope, by all means, I was counting on the 02-04 KJs pushing the availiblity.

Though I still want to take another gander at part numbers, we checked several places, and they all came out to be the same, I even thought that we checked the earlyer 2.8s specifically.

Keltick: I still think it's not a US / Europe thing, it's an age thing. The '04-'07 have another set up.

Jimmy has a 2.8 and NO electric cooling fan.

In the first thread Sir Sam started about this we already checked part numbers and '04-'07 have the same numbers in US/AUS/EU. But: the guy who checked the EU numbers is Jinstall who drives a US CRD in germany...Anyway, we can safely assume that all '04-'07's have the same hoses since our friends from Down Under verified this.

’04-’07 2.8

55038729AA - Inlet CAC
55037730AD - Outlet CAC

’01-’04 2.5

CK52079800AA turbo to intercooler
CK52079801AB intercooler to inlet manifold

Jimmy can you give us the partnumbers on yours?

IMO: The oldies problem lies here, because of the fan the '04-'07's radiators are more to the rear. My Aircon rad sticks out in FRONT of the hood support beam.

Old Hose way longer. ( also a 2.8 )

Dealer told me that 2002-2004 2.5 or 2.8 hoses part numbers are 52079800AD and 05183846AA. But mine are 52079800AE for the turbo hose and 52079800AD for the one on the battery side which is weird according to dealer as they should be totally different numbers.2005-2007 are 55037729AC that was superceeded by 55038729AA for the turbo hose and the other hose is 55037730AD which was superceeded by 55037730AC

Good news Mark at samco said he will do hoses for our euro jeeps when i spoke to him again today, and i can confirm that your hoseS 2.5 are the same as mine 2.8 spoke to gary at my dealership and he ran all the part numbers,so we should be ok. I am going to see if dealership will lend me the hoses for 2 weeks to send to samco ,but they may refuse. But one way or the other i will sort something out.regards jimmy.

Got this from a friend in South Africa who drives a 2.5:

DC gave me the following, I think I am missing a digit.
K301305437AC
K51278949AB (missing a digit here for sure)

By the way in Rands = for the turbo to intercooler = R1568.30 ~US$220.00 for a single pipe that will burst!

:?

yep they leak...a lot....and the turbo hose rubs on the heater hose, causing it to start leaking coolant. Then engine overheats and blows head gasket. So I strenghtened the heater hose with some pvc tubing.

Jimmy, sizes are
turbo 45 mm
intercooler in 50 mm
intercooler out 50 mm
inlet manifold 65 mm

seems to be like yours and Keltic you must have the same hoses as me, wrapped in bandages...don't know what they where thinking, feels like a radiator hose. But then realy bad due to oil that leaks through it...

only if they will make me a set in RED :D

Just kidding, black or blue who cares as long as they stop leaking....now how about South Africa...I am a little worried, I've red somewhere they also get Dana 44 instead of our 39 rear axles. But the turbo hoses cannot be that different, right? Even though the part numbers are way different.

Uffe, do us all a favor, pull your boost hoses off and report back what part numbers you have printed on them.

Oh bugger. I haven't been able to get online from back home because of a technician farked up my connection. Installed the wrong set of wires to my apartment and cut off the remaining people, what a tool. So it's not until I got to work this morning before I saw your message here.

I would have done it, and I still think I will have to do it to see the part numbers on the hoses on my 03. Will see if I can get something sorted and pull the hoses off. This will be a good exercise for me before installing the samco ones ;)

I hope mine will coincide with JIMMYs or tonys part#s...

To all 2.5'ers : We're good! :D

Only difference is 5mm smaller in diameter on turbo. (When the samco's come: tighten the clamp a bit more! )

Here's mine and Jimmy's

That could explain leakage when you use 2.8 hoses on the 2.5s if you got a whopping 5mm extra hose you need to clamp down.

You sure you can just rape the hose like that and it will be ok Tony??
