techTim: I've done the ORM to the 'talian tractor and am planning on installing the SEGR you designed. I understand, by what I've read in some of the posts, that someone redesigned the circuit board included in the "kit". Have there been any changes in the design of the circuitry from the one that you have hyperlinked on the original SEGR site? I'm planning on gathering the parts and just building my own (yes,
Thanks to you!) and was wondering. Also, did you all use milspec chips in the kits and/or in the design? If not, do you think it's necessary?
Thanks,
Jim
Actually it was TurboTim who did the design, but to answer your question, there are no electrical changes between the PCB designs. The chips are typical commecial grade chips, and you would not gain any benefit from using industrial or mil-spec as the silicon between temperature grades is
identical, only the specs are different. Believe me, we are not relying on accuracy or gain specs in this appliication, only your wallet would notice the difference.
