Yep, I meant no EXTRA isolators. If I feel like I want a little more lift later, it's not too hard to add.
Well, What I'll do is talk to the tire guy first, and see if they can fit them on and if absolutely necessary, I can do it later. It would be nice to get away with leaving it. I just have a feeling it will need to be done.
The small difference between the 245/70R16 and the 245/75R16 is pretty visually noticeable based on pictures from LOST. I hate to say it out loud, but looks are important too (at least to me).
My only take on it is wether or not you NEED the extra 1/2 inch. My wife says "Size Doesn't really matter" But I know she is lying.
Anway. Extra 1/2 inch verses altering the unibody of your KJ. I know I know, before others jump on my case that it has been done a whole bunch with no issues, BUT...
Why do it if you don't have to? I know it makes no difference to the structural integrity of the KJ, but is can be a spot for water infultration and potential rust before it needs to be. Besides all of these KJ's are only 5 years old. If this was needed on an 84 XJ and by this time there were no issues reported then I would say good enough for me. Personally I went with 245/70/r16's not only for that reason but because I am installing my new Gecko with over 7" tall lights on it and i want all the room to spare I can get so I can still park in my garage. The not pounding the pinch weld was just an added bonus.
