Calico Clean-Up 08 was a great event. There were close to 500 vehicles there and well over 1000 people. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining bright and Jeeps of almost every model, many different types of Toyotas, Broncos, Mogs, H1’s, etc, etc. It was one of the coolest varieties of off road vehicles I have ever seen in one place. There was a great selection of raffle prizes, free food, vendor displays, an RTI ramp and cool stuff to see at the Desert Discovery center in Barstow which was the staging area for the event.
There were tons of trash picked up and hundreds of acres of land cleaned up. LOST JEEPS had six vehicles in attendance w/ 10 people. What a great day! Here are some pics.

Even Nolan got in on it in the KJ.

The LOST JEEPS folks went and checked out a little of the Calico wheeling areas afterward:

I would like to THANK very much everyone that came out from LOST JEEPS and braved the freezing cold Sat morning and the scorching heat (at least on my head it was scorching) in the afternoon to help clean up a great wheeling area. I had a blast and one of the best Bday weekends ever. BTW, We gained some new Members: Ludlow & Iren joined up Sat. morning. WELCOME LUDLOW & IREN!!! Special thanks to those that brought me Bday gifts, you guys are too much and just having you all out there w/ me was more than enough for my Bday.

BTW, Burchie, WE MISSED YOU!! Sorry your Jeep gave you trouble and you couldn't make it. :( To those others that were supposed to be there: you all missed a cool event and you were missed by us all. We all need to get out more together and have more fun. This kind of comraderie is what it is all about. Loved it! :D :D :D

Wait a minute - you have a ramp and a brand new SFA conversion - and no pictures of your Jeep on the ramp????? No RTI numbers?? what happened???? - Rocks are nice but hard to compare site to site.

(The pictures you posted are great - it's just the one that's missing that stands out)

Not ready for the ramp yet. Need to get longer rear shocks before trying an RTI. The rear shock mounts ended up lower than I orginally anticipated (figured 10" shocks would cover it) and now I need longer, probably 12-14" long, shocks. RTI ramp scores are not all they are cracked up to be anyway, Rock ramping rules!!

Who would have thought that picking up trash could be so much fun :D

It was great to see old friends, and meet some new ones as well.
We missed you Burchie. I think your Jeep is mad at you :?

I'm ready for the next trail run now...

^^^^^X2 ---- Iren and I and a great time meeting everyone. We really enjoyed meeting a great group of people, helping to keep our deserts clean, and getting some good wheelin' in as well. Thank you to all the LOST JEEPS members for such a warm welcome, and making Iren and I feel "at home". :D

We are definately looking forward to upcoming runs and events with the lost guys/gals. Lets all get out there and show everyone how capable the KJ's are and what cool people own them. :D

also, here are some pics:

That was the best time picking up trash! It really did feel good to see the difference when we left. I really enjoyed seeing everyone and meeting Ludlow, Iren, Carrie and Kelly again. Now we still have to go somewhere to give Carrie a chance to drive too right? Anyway, we had fun and are glad we had the time to come down for it and have some kick butt food for John's b-day. Great pictures guys.
