UFO,

Though I'll build the SEGR/ORM myself, I'd like one of your bypass plugs.

Please let me know how to pay you, and I'll let you know where to send it.

My state doesn't currently do emissions testing, but I've moved many times in my life. It would pay to have one of these handy.

Thanks!

PM me your address, and I'll get you a price for shipping. Then you can PayPal me.

Please add me to the list. I'm interested in having the kit dropped shipped to UFO for assembly and testing. I haven't solder anything since college days. That was a long time ago.

Please add me to the list for the kit. I want it shipped to me directly. If I need UFO to assemble it for me I will then ship it o him to assemble. I need to get a CRD before I do that!

Could you please put me down for the by-pass plug if it is not too late (I am on the list for the kit). We do have emissions test here in Ontario, but according to the government web site, for Diesels this involves a visual check for tail pipe smoke over a five minute idling period, don’t believe they are checking NOX levels, but just in case.
Let me know about payment.

Many thanks

Now $85 gets you all the parts to make a plug and play box?

If that is the story i'm most definatly in. Where do i send money?

Also what is the point of the bypass plug?

If you want a bypass plug just let me know -- there is no time limit or batch order. I have a supply and I'll just make one up for you. Shipping will probably be less than $3, as the package weighs 1 oz.. If you are having me do a complete build, a bypass plug is included.

$85 to LocoCRD will get you parts for a SEGR box only. You will have to solder the components to the PCB (included). You will have to cut and crimp wires (crimps included, wires not), and drill holes to mount the resistor, connector and soldered PCB into the box (box, connectors and hardware included).

However, as a service to SEGR buyers, I will open your kit and make a soldered PCB assembly and forward the rest on to you for $50 more. You will still have to do the drilling and make a harness (about 5 feet, 9 conductors) to wire into your CRD.

I am also providing a complete kit. You send me your "box of parts" and I will assemble and test the box, and build a harness for you. I have all the wire and miscellaneous supllies already, which would cost you about $30-$40 more. I charge $175 plus your kit to do all this. Then all you do is wire the harness into your CRD and mount the box.

LocoCRD, aka Dennis, can take your $85 for the kit plus my assembly charges and forward the kit to me. I will send it on when I have done the work.

The point of the bypass plug is to restore the factory EGR function for trips to the dealer. Simply disconnect your box, and attach the bypass plug. Done.

You must cut and splice into your factory CRD harness. Believe me, an ECM piggyback would not only be not "stealth", it would cost more than 5 times the kit.

Ok here is an updated list of the folks who want in on the SEGR kits. I layed out the PCB using another connector assembly allowing for a smaller PCB, but testing has shown the connector I was using was not as robust as the original. So I will be making minor changes to the last lay out, using the original connectors and be ordering PCB's next week. So if you want in get on the list. This round is taking a little longer than I'd hoped, but I have been extremely busy at work this year. Thanks for your patience.

List on last page

I will let this thread run one more week. Then I will order parts and PCB's. I will PM payment info when we close the signup list.

there is no "turn key" version you still have to tap into your wiring system.

UFO only solders and makes a wiring harness i believe, then you splice it in. no plug n play here
it is not a hard thing to wire into the system.
