Any good campgrounds around the area and is anyone camping for the weekend for this? If I come over I figure I'd make a weekend out of it (5-5.5 hr drive for me) so I'd rather shoot over friday and leave sunday.

There should be some ggod spots there, Grand Lake in St. marys (OHIO) is not too far away, trying to think of some other areas. Some of the guys from down that way may know of something. If youre thinking of camping I may drop down and camp also the night before!

Hueston Woods State park is nice - South of Dayton near Oxford, Ohio. You can hike / mountain bike in the woods there.

That's a hike to Troy though, and these guys are coming from the north. I'd go to http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/ataglance/tabid/76/Default.aspx and look at Kiser Lake or Lake Lorime. Or look for private CG's in the same area. (Troy, Piqua, Sidney are the towns in that area)

Good call, I didn't realize where Michigan City, IN was. But if 501 is making the 5+hr trip, what's another 45 minutes.

Hueston Woods is an outstanding park & CG. I highly recomend it, especially if you are just over the line at Haspin...

Speaking of... if any of the out-of-towners do end up staying (or locals even). I'd be up for checking Haspin out again. Wouldn't mind trying that trail that Moose and I got stuck in now that I have MTs and a Locker...

Wife said if I want to go, then go ahead. So, has anyone ever stay at the cabins at KISER LAKE STATE PARK? I think I might reserve that, that way I won't have to haul all my camping gear with me and it should be more comfortable than the tent. How far is Kiser from the event?

Maybe! If I can do a Sunday run down in KY, then doing a Sunday run closer shouldnt be too much of a problem. I'll know closer to the date. Still lots of time left!
