I wonder if you could cut an inch or so off the end of the factory hoses, degrease 'em real well, and use some kind of RTV/adhesive to glue them inside the Samco ends as a sleeve?

Inserting an inch of the factory hose into the Samcos should work fine. The "universal" straight coolant hoses for bigger diesels frequently use this trick to shrink the hose ID to an odd size. For example, a 3" hose can be give an ID of 2-3/4 this way.

Parts dept says they are the same hoses for 2.5 and 2.8 with a few changes to the part number ,i think our hoses are the same diameter and it may just be old age sagginess that is showing up a slight size difference. And maybe a bit mishapen when measuring the diameter.

In my pic you can see the turbo hose ( the long one ) being wider at one end. That's where it goes on the intercooler's 50mm.

Furthermore: 5 mm diameter difference means a gap of 2,5mm around the turbo outlet. You can fix that with a hose clamp no problem.

Yep.... the "turbo to charge cooler" is sweating badly. I would like to do both,,, if the budget permits!

Sam: Thanks for the wake up call.

Pretty, shiny. Though I'd prefer Spartan Green...

I just replaced the Turbo to CAC hose with the 'new' factory hose. Funny though I was just looking at the CAC to throttle body hose a couple weeks ago wonding when it would blow. Since I haven't been following the thread in a while has Samco talked about the price?

I paid 90 at the stealership for one so $300 for a set of good hoses sounds about right.

Well I am getting ready to do a Samco order for the race car. I lost a return hose today after taking it out of hibernation for the past six months. I am ordering a 9 pc hose set and would really like to buy this all at once. Still no word? I would really like to be a test vehicle as I am probably the only one that runs 90% throttle all the time. I leave tomorrow for a privat tour of the Ford HQ and Ford assymbly line in Koln in the morning. Cruising up the A61 for 70 min at 90% would be a great test.
