While I wait to get a decent trade-in offer and good price on Demo 2.8CRD, I need to try keep my CRD as happy as possible (tempramental little ....).

Does anyone know what grade of oil is used on the manual gearbox (heard rumours of 75W90 multigrade), we normally use SAE90 in RSA (monograde).

Furthermore are there any seals/washers, etc that need to be replaced on the plugs (filler/drain)?

I am going to guess that it is the same gearbox used in the states. If so, It Has to use a synchromesh fluid. Anything else will not let the synchros stay happy.
