Who wants to go to Haspin, and when?

Maybe this will inspire me to finally install my front hitch. It's been layin against my toolbox at work for weeks...crap...over a month.

I was thinking a Saturday run sometime in the middle of March...but I'd be more than happy to do another one sooner

It would be nice to check the place out before it gets too inundated with too many people. I know we are planning on May 4th, but who wants to wait that long!! Plus, at least it's closer to home...at least for us :D

well, my locker is on a truck between here and the west coast, so I don't want to go until mid-march myself...

Maybe we can do that at your place this coming Sunday? I'm seriously considering getting some lights and Soft 8s so I can be in the "Cool KJ" group too

I have a one car garage and all the tools we should need if ya want to come over. Glad to help you out. Maybe Mitch would like to come over and hang out, too. Seems I popped a plastic rivet out at the bottom of the front flare where it attaches to the front bumper...it almost looks like the tire kissed it.

I'm clear that day. I'll come by to lend a hand. I've got a couple boxes of the plastic rivets too.

PS, As I told Scott, make sure you have a good 1/2" drill bit. That was my detriment when installing my hitch.

PPS. I think I can make Haspin 16th. But if you guys had a tough time in the mud today....

Drill is covered(now), heck so is the 1/2" bit for that matter.

Just a heads up guys, there's atv races going on at Haspin on March 16 so the park may be a bit crowded. Thought I'd pass that along.

Sweet! maybe we can bury BOTH recovery vehicles this time  Wes, hope ya make it.

If there's racing at Haspin, that should mean the off road park is gonna be fairly un-busy. Not like we'll be parking, right?

Mitch...the mud was brutal. And I liked it...and I'm pretty sure Scott feels the same:P keep them wheels spinnin'...unless you have an XJ on 33s  Then it won't do you any good:D

I was thinking we should meet somewhere for breakfast, 'cuz it'll be a big day, and I'm leaving from the old lady's house and she NEVER has any food (probably trying to thin me up or something). You live in Hamilton, I live in Mason, and Scott lives in Loveland and Mitch is up near Dayton and if I read correctly meduncan is in C-bus...so, I'm thinkin the Tri County area would be a good spot to meet, since it's on all our way anyway. That way we can cruise down the road in order of smallest to biggest, to minimize frontal area and increase fuel economy, right? Wes should be getting 30 mpg sittin way at the back

BTW-Scott...I found my cordless drill. It's up at my dad's...2 hours north...D'OH. Stupid dog pen building...I'll bring my own bit, I tend to tear them up

I'm hyper excited.

*EDIT*

Wait, is Mitch coming or not? I'm confused by his post...doesn't want to deal with the muck?

No worries, got a 1/2" drill motor yesterday...I needed one anyway. You may think about doing the clevis lift...will the weight of the hitch pull the front end down any more?

I think Mitch is going from the way it sounds. He does make a good point...it is most likely going to be a soupy mess :D Is there a IHOP in the tri-county area?

IHOP is "A" on Kemper

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=l&hl=en&q ... Businesses

the hitch isn't heavy enough to make the front end sag I don't think, but might as well do the clevis.

I'll bring the beer

IHOP works for me and yeah I'm coming from Columbus. I'll be bringing my TJ which is lifted 2" and has skids but no locker. From what I remember of Haspin the one time I was there this will be fun! When does everyone want to meet up?
