I think that worrying about more flex on IFS is as bad as some one trying to run 35's on a dana 35
yeah you can but why

Look CJ's with oe style suspension suck as bad as a KJ when it comes to flex
so to negate that a device called a locker was invented

also you are looking at HD coils
not a wise choice for max flex ,harder to compress

get the lift and then lock the rear and through the RTI ramp in a ditch
because you can drive off the top with a locker if you dont flip over first but with out a locker once a wheel gets off the ground you will go no further

Yes you do get more "flex" but it mainly comes from the long travel shock absorbers, they are the limiting factor, I have seen guys put in spacer lifts and coil replacements and not worry about the shockies, yes, both lift the car up, but, you gain no greater articulation unless you add longer travel shocks to the equation. You only get greater flex in the rear, as with IFS there is only "so" far down the control arms can go, a strut spacer in the front is one way to get a little more travel in the front, but still, you only get "so" much travel on a vehicle with IFS.

The extra amout of travel you get from a matched full coil and shock absorber kit greatly enhanses the four wheel drive abilities of our KJ's, but Yes, lockers can certainly make up for the rest.

Yeah when I said a OME HD kit, I meant Coils, Struts, and Shocks.

You will see the biggest gains in flex by getting longer rear shocks(make sure you get extended bumpstops) and disco'ing the front sway bar.

and rear sway bar. this makes a bigger difference than disoing the front. what others have said about the shocks is true this is what will limit u as far as flex. get the long travel OME shocks if u are going that brand. also bumpstops are a good idea but will take away from some of the flex. that being said they will also save ur springs and shocks. i leave my rear sway bar off all the time and i cant tell much of a difference on the road. you do have to remember its a jeep and not a sports car but thats a given really. taking the rear sway bar off of even a stock KJ will give u alot more flex it will let u fully extend your shocks.

Best thing to do is to compress the shocks as far as they will go before you put them on the Jeep and make a mark on the shock with a sharpie. Put the shock on the Jeep with the bumpstops and flex the rear suspension to the max and see how much room you have left on the shock to compress, or how much room you have in the fender wells with the tire(which ever is less). Trim the bumpstop alittle at a time and repeat. This should give you optimum flex on the rear suspension.

Just make sure the rear springs are not being over compressed.
