I've honestly thought about it, I always thought it was a neat piece of machine history there, being a big ME head I really like seeing things like that.

Simple fact of the matter is its just a piece of old equipment sitting on an old mine site in southern colorado.

But hey while we are at it, maybe I should repair this old generator(think ingersoll-rand still supports this?):

Sir Sam: Pick up a copy of, "Machinery's Hand Book" it has the formula to make babbitt along with lots of other stuff, Just make sure the copy is not older than what you are working on. I have mixed it and Poured Babbitt Bearings. McMaster Carr may still sell Babbitright (looks like stinky Manure green PlayDough with chunks of stuff that feel like saw dust) a compound you use to form the cavity to pour the bearing. In the mean time, save your old wheel weights and plumbers lead scrap.

Already have it, it is one of the infrequently consulted books in my closet, twas an expensive book too.
