Using KJ Taz & TonyCRD's write ups here in the forum, I was able to get the lift in! The write-ups were great and for a guy that never wrenched on a vehicle before and a guy that never did a lift, we did great!

I know things will settle some but I love the new look!

I will try and take some better pictures tomorrow, but as you can tell, I'm no photographer!!

looks good but u are right it will settle out. every time u mess with the supensions and set it back down it looks higher. drive it or better wheel it and it will settle out some. good job doing it yourself.

Thanks Tom, It feels great! Don't know if I'd ever want to do another, but I'm glad I did it myself.

PM me and let me know what do you want for the fogs, I'll try and dig up some money!

Thanks dloc! I've been reading the threads here for a while and thanks to the write ups and people on the forums, I finally mustered up the guts to try it. Learned alot doing it I can say  (That's dangerous!!)

Nice job. That was a great deal on your lift, too. I was a little worried that it was "too good to be true" but it was obviously as advertised.

Not mine (I wish), it's my boss', my friend takes care of it for him.

Removing excess oil and gas from the engine block.........

No really, KJ Taz used a blow dryer to heat up the bump stops, we didn't have one so we used the torch.

So far so good, but I did figure out one thing tonight that no one has said in the write-ups, Do Not Forget To Re-adjust Your Head Lights!!! I was driving around tonight and everyone kept flashing their lights at me  When I pulled up at my garage I realized why. Guess I'll have adjust them tomorrow!

I like your results. Makes me want to run out and buy a lift kit. Now where did I put my VISA card?

What's next? bigger tires?
Which spacer kit did you install? a Daystar 2.5"? Did you have to put in new rear shocks? And where can I find "KJ Taz & TonyCRD's write ups"?

Tires will have to wait, I just bought them a few months ago so I can't justify spending the money for more when these are still good. I have a few minor mods I want to do that hopefully won't cost to much, but haven't decided on which first (beside front tow point).

As for what kit I bought, it was the 2.5" Daystar for 159.00 from Jeeperz-Creeperz http://www.jeeperz-creeperz.com/comfort-ride-lift-p-3972.html?osCsid=1b3478c19d5ff627d3eaaf3a7d594f71

Here's the links to the write-ups I used:

TonyCRD's write-up: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=29217

KJ Taz's write-up: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=26190

Clevis lift write-up: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=168 Didn't end up doing this one.

I bought some Skyjacker shocks for the rear from Jags (not sure about the url for that site, but they should be easy to google).
