We've been using it for years, you get some freebie snipes every month, but we subscribe to get unlimited snipes.
Ebay...just another of my vices!!

Yes I've heard of it (never tried it) but I prefer to bid at the time rather than set a highest bid some time in advance. Like this morning, There was one guy last-minute-bidding with me and I went one bid over what I would have previously set and got the item.

Still, must find out more about this sniping stuff - these early mornings are killers!

I use both auctionsniper.com and justsnipe.com
Have been successful with both sites but then again the vintage cameras I buy doesn't have a large market in Australia

auctionsniper you get 3 free snipes and then pay per snip after that.

justsnipe you get 5 free/week but limited to 8 seconds before end of auction.

The sniper only puts on the next highest bid, so if you set your maximum to $100, and the item is at $47, it'll come in and put $48 on to win.
Anyway, try it out on something cheap first.
