FastRob.

When I got the F31 (third party scan tool flash) the tech said they also did F37 even thought my 06 came neutered. I think the shift points were changed further:shock: When they plug into star it's a all or nothing thing. They even flashed the BCM again

Can you tell any difference in shifting :?:

05infernoCRDL: somewhere on here I read that the SEGR allows the EGR valve to open when the tranny is in Park, didn't say why though...

Negative. Unless bypassed with a jumper plug, the SEGR doesn't even provide power to the EGR, so it doesn't pass any gasses. You're thinking of the AFV (variable butterfly valve just upstream of the manifold onto which the intercooler output hose connects. The reason for it operating normally when in P/N is that it assists in smooth shutdown of the engine (and in RARE cases could help prevent runaway dieseling). While in 1/2/D, the AFV is wide open and provides completely unrestricted air intake.

It should be pointed out somewhere along the way that the EGR is expensive and subject to a high level of failure when operational. When it fails it fails in the open mode. The SEGR and ORM effectively eliminate this point of failure by keeping the EGR closed.

Joe,
I am less than a week owning this machine.
Caught my first shudder at 55mph tonight. Do not know if it was there before.
The noises are still a cacophony.

Paid $241.98 for Moog ball joints, fuel filter and warranty work. $152 Ball joints + $79 fuel filter + tax + fees = Bull Poopies But it is done.
Also retrieved build sheet and service history. Asked many questions
The service manager asked me the glow plug life, good question to ask.
A key costs $100 plus $40 programming, all keys must be done together
The service manager also said no evidence of wet airbox, I changed out the last wet filter, cannot wait until it rains.

Need to chill on the money spending a while, maybe bug Chrysler about the new recall on the already recalled ball joints.
The service manager said he did not tell me that.

ORM/SEGR is making the head feel like the analytical chemistry professer did way back when.

Rob.
My first 55 mph shudder was 1/4 mile after buying my 06 new. What timing  Trying to get my dealer to resolve it was a waste of time. Like your wet filter, unless it hits them over the head they "can not duplicate" and nothing is done. A lift pump will cure your shudder and it will also run a lot better if it's anything like mine. I'm sure your shudder was there, you just needed to give it the right conditions to rare it's head. Once, only once, I got a very violent case of it after getting on the interstate at a rest stop at 70 mph. Same situation, letting off the peddel slightly, I got a very violent jerking, it was a scarry feeling :(
