Question: does your KJ still fit in the garage?

So what goes on first?

That is a lot of beer there waiting to be consumed dureing all that install. wish I was in CO.

Nope...Jeep doesn't fit in the garage. No big deal though because it wouldn't fit after a lift anyways.... so why not make sure it REALLY doesn't fit? haha

One rock rail is on....PITA by yourself...I'll send pics after the other one.

What is that sitting on that tire?

And would your Jeep really not fit in your garage after the lift? Mine fits in ours and it has a 3" lift with 245/70/16 tires.

Door is 7x9feet.

Are those rocker rails and skid from the guy that flipped his Jeep?

I believe that is the custom flat fender he is building. LINK

Mine is pretty close to not fitting. If I get a roof rack, I don't think it would fit in my garage anymore.

Hint...use your floor jacks to sit the rails on and in place. Once you have them sitting there, they stay. Place the floor jacks on the support bars so the weight is towards the outer part. the frame end mounts will tilt a couple inches and be held in place. Very easy to work with after that. The drilling of the holes with proper location is the real *female dog*

Well the pile has thinned a little bit... and I am done for the day. Tomorrow I will be snowboarding all day so not too sure if the motivation (or sobriety) will be there to do more work.

PS... on an unlifted KJ that tire and those 2x2's is the exact height to install the rock rails... it was SUUUUPER helpful and actually almost made it easy

Do you plan on painting the rails...or are you going to leave them yellow.

Thats too funny about his KJ not fitting in the garage any more.
I actually tested mine out after a week with my new Frankenlift. I had my wife eyeball me and I got 10% of the KJ in. My light bar just made the opening, but roof rack hit. So my wife is happy we have free storage space now.

Nope... the rock rails and skid are from Mutt when he submarined his KJ. He was nice enough to put dents in them for me so I don't have to worry about it. :D (plus, if they stand up to Mutt... I'll be just fine with them)
