Strange Thing Happened This Morning

I was driving down the road and the light for the factory fogs went out. The fogs were still on. I went to the overhead console a little later to check the mpg and all it showed was ---. There was a couple of other features that had the same ---. I stopped to pick up a paper, shutting of the motor, when I started it back up everything was fine! It has never done this before. :?:

could have just been a computer clitch or something shorted out.

THE DREDED GREMLIN!!!! It threw a strange code: U 0140 That isn't on my code list. In fact I don't have any starting with a "U".

I get the EVIC randomly switching to metric out of the clear blue. It used to happen about once a week when I first got it, but it happens about once or twice a year now.

I imagine there's supposed to be a capital "F" in front of that "U" in the code. LOL.

If you're getting electrical gremlins like that I would check your battery. It might be on the way out.

you shouldn't feed gremlins after midnight or get them wet.
