I bought a used '05 CRD ECU to send to InMotion along with my OEM ECU so they could "clone" and reprogram to their Stage II specs. (I'm setting up chassis dyno time and will report the "back to back" (stock ECU vs Stage II) results as soon as they are available.

However, my question of the moment is as follows: The used ECU did not come with a "vent plug" (for lack of a better term) for the hole (1/4" diameter) or "port" on the finned side of the ECU. (I assumed I could just pop the plug out of the OEM and swap it to the used one.) Unfortunately, it's being very stubborn and feels like I will break it if I try any harder to remove it.

Could you folks look at your ECU and see if you have the plug/vent? I'll have to rig up something to keep water out of the ECU.

Thanks,

DOC

Hey Steve,

Thanks for posting that picture. It's the round black thing that is partially covered by a wire loom cover in your picture. Just more evidence that there probably should be something in that hole to help keep the water out and probaly is standard.

Thanks again,

Still have no heavy hitters here that know about it, but just keep the thread going until
one that knows responds. What I have seen is if the thread is not active, it just goes away.
