50k miles, what to check?

Hi everyone,

As you know I'm one of the newest CRD members on the site. I've finally got some time to go through the truck this and next weekend and I'd like to know what things I should take a look at.

I'm obviously going to change the oil and install one of the fumoto things...along with the air filter. Check the diffs and t-case as well along with trans.

I'm more concerned about CRD specific stuff. What should I open up and look into? Turbo hoses looking for oil? Etc..

Anything anyone can recomend is greatly appreciated!

- Check/clean the MAP sensor (allen-bolted to the top of the engine immediately next to the fuel head) with some MAF cleaner/Diesel/mild solvent.
- Install a CCV filter (you'll thank yourself down the road) and clean out your Intercooler hoses with some degreaser or strong dish soap (something that'll cut the oil but not hurt the rubber). Rinse well and drip/blow dry.
- Replace fuel filter element if it hasn't been done before. By 50K, it probably needs it.
