Alright i have driven by this guy about 4-5 times in the past several months, hes always going the opposite way though. BUT! Today, the jeep appeared 2 blocks away from my house outside of a park. So i snapped a few photos in hope that sum1 will recognize this jeep.

Location: Maple Ridge B.C Canada.

Sorry I can't help! I think it would look good with some black wheels and MT's. I think we all need some LOST type "business" cards so we can put them on the KJ when we run across someone like that!

i beleive he has another set of wheels and tires, because when i first seen it, i swore he had black cragers and some beefier tires.

I also went back with a peice of paper and place this site adress and jeepkj adress under his windshield wiper, so hopefully he comes and checks us out

That winch setup looks down right scary, doesn't look safe at all and not strong enough to be useful for actually using the winch.

I was looking at the license plate bracket. If you really want to know who owns this, you might want to ask around at Maple Ridge Chrysler, it is the only 5 star dealer in M.R. Super Daves is not. You could also try Jeep Thrills in the industrial park across the railway tracks, if the road is open this week.

i happend to buy my kj from M.R chrysler also, i will ask but i doubt he bought it that way from them lol.

Onto the light comment, there is another member around here that has his lights like that on his kj also so i am guessing there much be enough clearance because i didnt see any scratches or dents on the hood where the lights are lol

I agree with you, I was thinking he may be a parts dept. customer since he still has a new looking license plate bracket. He may still like them. :)

I highly doubt the dealer will tell you who bought it due to the new "confidentiality act" here in canada.

It doesn't look like it was even used. The rope is still in line.

Yes, but you can ask if the person may be a parts dept. customer and leave your information for them if they come back. Might be that one of the parts guys knows him and will pass along a message or LOST KJs URL.

Forget talking to the sale people. They are probably too busy "lot trolling" to remember. And yes, there is also that privacy thing to consider.

So, those of you more familiar with jacking/recovery, etc. sanity check me here:
- the gauge of the steel on the vertical members looks okay, but the fact that the winch is mounted on a section that's bolted on (not welded) and several inches away from the winch mount surface seems like it would put some stresses in some really bad places. Also ,the fact that there's no welded crossmember at the bumper-level would introduce a LOT of torsional stress if the user ever tugged from the side, probably more stress than the bolt points on the uniframe could withstand. Thoughts?

My opinion: It looks really sweet! As far as the functionality of it, like you all previously stated, its the same as mounting a huge racing spoiler on a 4 cyl Cavalier.

I like the chrome wheelcaps. I had them on my XJ. I see them on Ebay for around $ 50.

I used to work for the Indiana DNR and we had Ram 2500's with a very similar setup with their winches, just with out the head light protectors and the tiny shackles. Our winches were mounted on the horizontal piece that was bolted to the vertical pieces that mounted to the frame. Used them to pull out stuck vehicles and large debris. Never had a problem with them. Just my two cents.
