It's been a while since I've been on here. Got a new Mustang GT and been hanging out with those folks. Just wanted to bring everyone up to speed on the TC. It now has 40,000 miles on the original and is still running fine. I kick the tranny into N at stop lights as a way of trying to give it a longer life. Still bleed the air out of the original fuel heater once a week so it doesn't get too hot.

I wondered where you've been  Why not just put a lift pump on it? Besides not needing to bleed it weekly it will most likely run better and MAYBE get better mileage :D

Hi Joe. That might be in the works for the future. The way diesel prices are now ($4.19) and with summer coming on, we drive the GT all we can. It gets 27-30 on the highway as long as we keep it below 60 mph. The Jeep has turned into a true grocery getter and doesn't get much more use than that. Sad. I was bleeding the system every 500 miles, so that may go to once a month now. I still get good mileage, in the 25-26 range on the highway. At least that hasn't gone down. Stupid fuel prices. We are talking about trading in the CRD for some sort of 50 mpg hybrid. Might be the smart move for our situation.
