I got my new 31X10.5X15 tires and wheels today. I can't wait to get my FLII so I can actually use them. It is hard not to put them on now just to see what it looks like.

Very good all around traction tire, just don't expect to get a lot of miles out of them due to the softer tire compound. After 18,000 miles I had already lost two thirds of the tread and mud traction was beginning to suffer drasticly.

How are you getting a 15" wheel on a KJ? I thought it had to be at least a 16" wheel.

Thanks. That's good to know. It increases my tire options.

So I finished installing the lift tonight and I slapped the tires and wheels on there and MAN DOES IT LOOK GOOD! Sorry no pics yet, it is way too dark. I had to bring my work light out to finish the job. It is a beast now. I love it and I took it around the block and it drives like a dream. I need an alignment, of course, but the springs are a thing of beauty. I still need to chop a touch more in the front, got some rub while turning in reverse. Other than that, I am so stoked with how it turned out.

The CJ8 is my brother's. 1984. It is pretty cool, he is having issues with his ignition right now. Starts sometimes and sometimes not.

Well, I was able to really test out the tires this past weekend. I was at little Moab and there was sand, mud, rocks and dirt. The tires performed pretty much flawlessly throughout. They clung to the rocks great, stayed on top of the sand even though I was still at 22 psi., plowed through the mud and of course the dirt tracks were cake. On the 600 mile drive out to Utah it rained non stop. The tires never felt slippery nor did I ever feel like we lost the least bit of traction. On the way back it POURED on us. We saw 3 vehicles over turned and a few more that had slid off onto the muddy shoulder of the highway and were stuck. I was driving around 80 mph and never once felt like we were in danger of losing control. When I bought these I thought it would be a one time single set type of deal, but now they have really impressed me. I love them. If they give me 30,000 miles I am definitely buying them again. :D :D :D

Hey Mike, any issues with rubbing using the 31X10.5s? I am getting ready to order my Trxus with soft 8s and was just curious what you had experienced with rubbing.
