How do I tell if F37 has been done to a CRD

I've been reading a lot here. Great stuff! Can't find this info though:
Looking at a 2006 KJ. How do I tell if F37 has been performed?

What else should I be looking at?

Ok, Click on the link. Look around the page and find they section on the left labeled recalls. Enter the last 8 digits of your VIN.

The 06 models with a build date of November 05 came already neutered. But there have been more changes to the TCM programming after the radical one. My January 06 mfd crd has had 3 different tcm flashes (or at least ecm/tcm combinations) that have given different shift points.

In the GM world, there are sites to decipher the VIN. Are there such a place for the jeep?

Is the F37 such a bad TCM update? Seems quite a few dislike it.

Depends on who you talk to. Some like it, most don't.
It cut engine torque but they never stated how much. The tech told me 10%. It initiated or changed a "torque management" during shift. And it moved the shift points up out of the diesel's peak torque ranges. On mild starts it shifts at around 2400 rpm's as opposed to the earlier 1900 where the diesel is strong. On quick starts it winds up to red line much too easily. It was all done to keep the whimpey torque converter from getting torn up by the tiny tractor engine :wink:

Mileage seems to suffer also :cry:

Forgot to mention. It changed the ECM and TCM. Supposaly no one has broken the encryption on the TCM yet :lol:

I know this question has probably been asked a million times, but I’m going to ask anyway. Once the warranties are up, is there anyway to request a reflash where they can reset the ECM and TCM back to the original specifications before the F37???? Or is this wishful thinking?

Supposably not. At least by the dealer

Some people who that specifically told the dealers not to flash their cars that were in for other service have tried to get their original flash restored. I don't recall if anyone actually were sucessfull
