Who said Wrangler 15 inch Alloys don't fit a KJ?????

Well they don't unless you know the secret. ( I could tell you all, but, then I'd have to kill you all....and thats just impractical as you're all on the other side of the planet, and the airfairs alone would staggering, and trying to get accommodation at such short notice, well thats almost impossible.....)

Tyres are Mickey Thompson ATZ 31/10.5/15's , and the Wheels are 06 Wrangler 65th Anniversary Edition Renegade Rims. Noice!!!!

What width and backspace do those rims have?

15 x 7in with 5.5 backspacing....

Secret has something to do with "spiders". We've all been using them on our 16's for yrs, so I thought, Hmmm.. maybe with 15's they'll work too. And they Did...

Cool. So, for all intents and purposes, you end up with a 15 x 7 with 4 1/4 inches of backspace.

Is it my imagination or do the OME lifts marketed in Australia provide more lift than those shipped to the U.S.?

Mine "isn't exactly" a standard OME lift.

I have done a clevis lift in the front and have a custom set of rear coils in the rear to get approx 4 to 4.5 inches of lift..

but we won't tell anyone about that either

cmohr,

This is very encouraging! I used to have a Wrangler SE model with the 15x6 steel wheels with 31x9.50 Swamper radials on it and loved that combo. I now have a silver KJ CRD that would look great with the same wheel and tire combo. I figure if the aluminum wheels fit with the spacers the steel ones will but, I am going to ask anyway, have you or anyone check this wheel on a KJ? With spacers?

If I can convince my buddy with an 06 Golden Eagle, I'll try his Canyon rims with my 1.25" spacers.

I haven't tried any other 15's with the spacers, but, I would strongly suggest Test Fitting anything before going out and just spending the cash.

I also run 31/10.5/15's Mickey T MTZ's on a set of 15x7 steel rims that have zero offset ( so no need for the spacers ), so I knew I could fit these tyres under the guards and I had already set my speedo calibration to that size, so now I run the 31/10.5/15's onroad and off road, and I'm happy with that. 8)

That is awesome! Good thinking.

Would you happen you know the weight of the wrangler rim?

No not actual weights, but, the Alloys with the ATZ's feel about half the weight of the Steelies with MTZ's.

Also notice I have more get up and go on the alloys and ATZ's than with the extra weight of the steel wheels and mudders,, ( I change between them for on and off roading)
