awesome, and how much do those switches cost? i know on our 02 chevy 2500HD work truck at work, the wipers only work on the highest setting and thats it. the switch is about 300-500 depending if you go dealer or autoparts store, CRAZY!

Yep, they're not cheap. I looked around but only the dealer had one. I paid $123.00 including taxes.

Nice write-up. I guess when I bought mine I got lucky. I found a new Mopar part online a year or so ago for a little over 50 bucks, don't remember exactly. It was weird cuz the same place was asking like 30 bucks more for the switch w/o foglights. Most of the ones I could find then were $80-90. The price you got sounds about right for the current time.

Awesome pix and informative post. Did u know how old your new switch was as I understand from the TSB, it has to be a newer one or it issues may return? Was there a date code on it?

What kinda problems were you having?

My battery died for the third time today for no reason. I drive it the night before and its fine, next morning its slap dead. Ive seen the inside lights on when no one was in the Jeep so I guess Ill start with those.. :?

Hopefully its not the BCM or a short somewhere. If its a short I may set it on fire and draw insurance.

Two things were happening. First, I started hearing a clicking sound which I couldn't place, somewhere under the dashboard. Second, the headlights wouldn't turn off. Or they would, but not always. When I changed the switch both of those stopped.

From what I've read about this switch, there are quite a few possible symptoms, like interior lights, dash lights, etc.

Hey, I don't want to take credit where it's not due. I just posted a couple youtube videos of KJs on fire, I didn't offer any constructive advice (that I remember  )

The center dome light (above the back seat) has never shut off in mine since the 1st time I drove it. I still have the bulb in the glove box.

Actually it was an old post that you did some months ago that I got on a search....now I can't even remember what you'd written. But I remember it being helpful at the time... :D
