Does anyone know what the load range requirement is for tires on the KJ. I'm looking into getting some 245/75/R16 Bridgstone Dueler A/T Revo's after my Frankenlift arrives and i'm not sure whether to get the "C" load range, "E" load range, or the tires that don't seem to display a load range. The difference in price is pretty noticable, the "E" range tires are $149.00 and weigh 48lbs., the "C" range tires are $144.00 and weigh 41lbs. and the no load range specified tires, which i'm assuming are standard load tires, which have a higher load rating than the "C" tires are $115.00 and weigh 39lbs.

Now, if you're not as confused as i am, i could really use some help. I'm not too keen on buying tires that aren't rated to support my KJ (NO FAT JOKES!!!) and then having them wear prematurely or blow out on me.

Also, if anyone has the Revo's in this size please specify the load rating of the tires that you bought and let me know what pressure you inflate them to.

Thanks a lot,

-Savage-

I went heavy duty range E, 10 ply. The ride is good on the road and off road I feel more comfortable with the heavy duty tires. I run them at 40 psi on road and 20 off-road.
ps- love the revo's, great tires

Standard Load tires are what come on the KJ stock so they will support it without a problem. However, if you wheel it hard I would go with the E rated tires. Stronger, thicker tire means more resistant to punctures and cuts.

thanks for the info fellas, i figured that the standard load tires would get the job done, and since i'm only gonna be able to wheel now and then, i'll probably just go with those, they're cheaper and lighter, so they won't hurt my wallet or my MPG's as much.

Thanks again

I've been running the standard passenger tires at 40 psi. The few times I've wheeled in the sand, I've aired down to about 16 psi.
