Great weekend. While most could only be there on the Saturday, Team J.a.G and the Pipeliners camped overnight and went out again on Sunday - you'll have to wait for Team J.a.G to post any photos as I (as usual) forgot to take a camera! Once again the girls did all the driving - and did it very well. Us blokes are going to have to hang onto the keys very tightly in future!

The Hummer was Fros's friend Ewan. We kept trying to find really narrow tracks so he couldn't follow, but no luck!

We might have managed a bit more flex in the rear if I'd remembered to deflate the polyairs!!

Great pics guys & gals, missus Palla would have loved to be there getting amongst it...

Have to ask Mikey what do you do to your pictures to make them look so great, can really tell which ones you took. Is it a polarized lens? Come on give up your secret.

G'day Palla,
Thanks for the kind words mate.
I guess there are a couple of things you can do to improve the "look" of the piccies.
Firstly, I always shoot the biggest pic size and resolution I can.
In my camera's case (EOS 350D), I shoot everything in RAW mode.
This means the pics have about 4 times the info of a similar sized JPG, they are also 4 times bigger, so make sure you have plenty of card and drive space.
You then need photoshop to open and adjust the RAW files.
I then do some very minor tweaking, usually upping the contrast, crushing the blacks, adding or subtracting saturation, and finally, I do a subtle (sometimes no so subtle) vignette around the whole image.
Hope this helps out???
Please feel free to ask if you need some more info.
Cheers,
M.

Awesome pics and a great way to get the ladies out wheeling. IT is always a good idea to get your better half involved in the sport even if it is just for the safety apsect of them being able to drive your butt out if you get injured. Even better though that they are sharing your love of a great hobby.

Thanks for your comments JJs KJ. I think it was a successful outing the girls seemed to have a great time of it.( I know my better half did.) We should do it again and hopefully attract more starters. It was a lot of fun.
