No compressing involved Fros, were only putting top strut plates in not spacers in the clevis.

Thinking more about that, it will be a good idea to put them on to prevent it flexing too much

Well, what a Friday night Ed and I had. We sort of came up against a few problem that were over come the 2nd day (Sat morning) with a call to STU. Having the front complete was a great feeling & we were running out of time to do the rear so after a quick try we had to leave it as Ed needed to be at another place. Sunday came around and I wanted to have another go at the rear of the KJ. So a call to Cmohr (thanks mate), and an hour or so later my coils were in place :D

Some pics of the rear install. Not sure how to get the pics off my new phone (front install) so they will have to wait.
(I posted the same pics on AJOR as I wanted other Aust KJ's to see what STU's got to offer)

Couldn't find a KJ to park next to (no time to look) so this little Grand will have to do :D

Hey Chris what are the numbers now front and rear hub to wheel arch??
Did you say the GQ rear spacer fits the rear without mods??
Have to trim mine, its down on the left side by about 10mm.

HI Brian,
How you been, long time no see mate.

Yes, ARB call them GQ packers but they also go by TJ packers. No you need to cut the middle out to fit, however it's only by about 3 mill each side. I used a hole drill, a big hole drill. Front and rear is 560mm even.

So I put the shocks in on Sat morning, top bolt was very hard to undo. Any way, very happy with final result overall. I'm looking forward to testing it out on a trail in the next couple of weeks.

I did take it down the road to see how the back flexed, didn't get the back wheel off the ground (would have if it was the OME 132's). I think I still had a little more travel to go but the kids were in the back and making some noise so I went home. I did get out and saw that the coil was fully flexed out and had lots of room to play (not touching the top if you know what I mean). So I will go and have another go this weekend with Ed and Steve (AJOR soon to be LOST :D ). I'm interested to see how far it will go, will post pics after that.

Cmohr is yours like that?
