Subject: Proposed ATV Park
Hello,
I am writing in response to an article in the Boston Globe about an ATV park opening up in Berlin.
Click link to see article:
http://www.boston.com/news/local/new_ha ... _atv_park/)
First, I do think this is a great idea! ATV’s are a huge part of this States recreational attraction and creating a place where folks can go and ride legally just makes good sense – much like the State does now with snowmobiles. The article was brought to my attention by someone who is in a Jeep Liberty club (
http://www.lostkjs.com/) I belong to. They were wondering (as many of us are) if there would ever be any possibility of some of the 7,500 acres being cleared for off road vehicles as this too is a growing sport in the Northeast with not much in the way of legal places to ride. This could quite possible be yet another way to bring revenue to the Berlin area. There is a very successful off-road park in Hazelton, PA called Paragon Adventure Park (
http://www.paragonap.com/) which is extremely well organized and brings thousands of people (and dollars) to that area each year. Perhaps this could be the North Country version of Paragon!
Anyway – just wanted to share my thoughts and curious if there was any talk of doing something with all that land for the 4x4 enthusiasts out here!
Thanks for your time,
Sue & Dan Noyes
