agreed. find a bench break and have the bottom portion bent under to better match the curve of the bumper. 2 bends across the width of the diamond plate piece would do it.

also, find some black carriage bolts to smooth out the front

Those bolts will definitely help "clean it up". I'm not going to bend anything until I look at the fitting of the plate I still have to mount (underside of bumper), which will be after I get the front diff skid.

Now that my Dad is back from out of town, we are already scheming up what to do. We might do some sort of bending, but I need that skid plate to see how I can attach the other diamond plate I still have (don't want fitting issues after welding plates, etc.).

Thanks for all the comments, everyone! I understand it is definitely "rough", but we just wanted to get "something" up there at least, cause it looked pretty bad with just the remaining plastic bumper and this piece of frame sticking out, and it had been that way for a while...now that we have it up there, we can see what more can be added to it, or modded. I still have plans to do the foglight area cutting a few LOST members have (SteakGoddess, Calvin56, LilMatty). But that'll be considered after getting the front diff skid, then deciding if I want to do anything else to the bottom area of the plating, bending or cutting, possibly adding the second plate I got, and then mounting tow hooks, a necessity I should have never disregarded.

BTW, keep any suggestions flowing, but understand what I'm already working on (no more tow hook questions  )

There is quite a bit of room underneath the section of frame I mounted the plating to. I don't think anything of decent size would create clearance issues, because it'd be right in front of the front crossmember, so as long as it doesn't hang lower than that, it should be fine.
Thanks for the idea!
