From my perusing of the 4x2 and performance forum Spacers don't work, most of what I have seen recommended is a Fastman's Throttle Body adn a B&G Flash.

From all the people that have run them, from all the forums I have checked and from all the guys at local shops I am pretty sure I have never seen or heard anyone say they were worth the $$$ they cost. If they help MPG so much why wouldn't auto makers put them in all the models to help them pass the new higher mpg standards?

I won't call shennaigans yet, He does have a KK... I know that it is the same engine, with some changes (don't know what they are personally). I know that throttle TBS's can theoretically work, though the gains are usually seen at higher RPMS. If they changed the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, throttle body, or PCM, a gain could be possible, I would think it would be more in the 1-2 MPG range personally.

I ran an Airaid TBS for about 10,000 miles before removing it. The ONLY reason I bought one to try it out was because I got it on eBay brand new for $19. The one for my '03 actually REDUCED the intake diameter of the throttle body and made a loud whistle while accelerating hard between 1500 and 3000 RPM's. For whatever reason, it caused my "butterfly" in the throttle body to start squealing after about 8,000 miles. I had to remove it and clean out the entire throttle body to get rid of the annoying squeal which would occur while pressing the accelerator. As far as performance and gas mileage goes..."0", Nada, Zip, Zilch. I turned around and sold it on eBay for 3X what I paid for it. Don't waste your money!
