Had to go get a physical done today for work. So after I was done I decided to go hit some trails on the way home. Nothing to hard, couple nice hill climbs. After I got home, I picked up my wife and son and went to the beach. Well while driving I heard a rather loud squeaking noise coming from the front driverside area. Got out to check and everything seemed alright. Then when I put it in drive the gears engaged and I felt a slight pop. hapens whenever I put it into drive and hit the gas. I'm thinking its a problem with the halfshaft, havent jacked it up yeat to take a look, If so... is there any halfshafts that can take more abuse that the stock?

and no, I can't afford to swap it out for a solid axle yet.

did you have it in 4 high or 4 low?
have you tried engaging the transfer case again and moving it then taking it back out of 4 wheel drive?
have you checked the brakes to make sure nothing is in them?
does it do it in reverse and forward both?
how many miles on it?

I though binding but if that was so it would be a loud bang and wouldn't happen every time it's put into drive.
