I took my CRD to the Dealer with a 402 CEL. They checked it out and replaced the fuel control module, $500.00 not in stock they did get one the next day and now they say the turbo is leaking oil, so the need to replace it. They are not sure what took what out, this is all under warranty but they say they have to change the inercooler because itis full of oil and they can not clean it 700$ to replace it, not under warranty. Has any one else had this problem. just a month ago I had to have the injecter pump replaced. I have also had to have EGR valve replace two times. It has 64K miles on it I drive 350 to 400 miles a week. Is it time to toss in the towel. it is like every 10K something takes a sh**. and it not cheap most every thing has been under warranty, but still costly. The Libby is in it's own catagory, when it works; good milage 23 to 24, 4X4, tows OK, easy to park as a daily driver.
Blue,
My GMC pickup had 14 warranty items in the first 2 years, almost got rid of it. Now around 100k it is quite good.
Tell them the intercooler is cleanable, by the looks of it they like to replace parts.
If you are not into the SEGR and EHM rx's, the root of many evils, you might want to get rid of it.
Have you cleaned the MAP sensor?
Do you have time and inclination? Otherwise I hate unreliable machines and get rid of them.
