The replacement for the famous M-Bolt to go through the bumper and hold the front tow hooks is called a 'Stud Plate' and the part number "appears to be" #52059352AA and this fits inside the frame and takes two M10x1.5 Nuts (part#06504818AA). These mount in the two outside holes (towards the fenders) holding the hooks on. The reason I say "appears to be" is because a search for this part number yeilds at replacement number of #52059352AB which is listed as a Stud Plate mount for the radiator. (Gotta love Chrylser, hunh?)

The inside mounting hole, requires a 'U-Multi Thread Nut'. This is mislabelled in the 2004 Parts Manual so I cannot tell you what the proper part # is but I it appears to take a Hex Head M10x1.5x28 Screw & Washer (part #06503699).

Now, the bigger problem is that most of the parts houses that I have checked with don't have these parts listed in their systems, but at least this should give most a starting place to try and work out proper hardware on their own.

I just found a potential source for M10x1.5 U-Multi Thread Nuts:

http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Extrud ... a11631.htm

http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Extrud ... a18339.htm

(not exactly sure what the differences are here -- best to check with vendor)

Check with the supplier to see if that is a PER PIECE price or not (since many fo the things listed at this site are for 25 or 50 piece sets)!!!!!

I am still looking for a supplier for M-bolts...

I gave up looking for a M-bolt and just took the front skin off and use two bolts. I figured why pay for the stud plate when I could reach in there and drop the bolts through the holes from the front since the skin had to be off either way.

As many times as I've seen members post trying to locate a set, you would think some enterprising individual would have fabbed up a dozen sets of these plates in an hour or two and charge $15-$20 bucks a pair for them

lets see thats $180 bucks net - $20 parts = $160 bucks for 2 hours work. $80 an hour.

An even more enterprising individual would go find a set of aftermarket tow hooks with the right dimensions and provide all the hardware to add front tow hooks.

I am not an enterprising individual at this moment. Too much to do, too little time.

my thoughts exactly ..
I made my own for my front plate holder ...
though they were more like square u bolts than m bolts
but if you can get hold of one then making more of them would not be
all that difficult..
If you have access to some equipment
