That's one of the things that stymied Consumer Reports when the tested the CRD. (I know an engineer that works there). I often chide him that he got it way wrong in his report. Whenever we hang out I have to diesel-smack him. but to be fair, he gives me the inside scoop on upcoming diesel models from all th manufacturers (which, sadly, isn't too many).
How could they not know this? Doesn't almost any newer vehicle have a return line? Every one I've ever owned has...
they do not care is the answer reporting the CRD got real life 11mpg got them wide media attention, that leads to a larger subscription base.
DC should have sued them but instead like many companies is afraid of "editorial revenge'
