Some people are way too sensitive. Man, I never mentioned anyone's sexuality or assume anyone is one way or another. I was just poking fun because Sam didn't really answer the question. I could care less if you run 24" dubs on your kj. I sold my stock wheels and came out over $100 ahead so financially it does actually make sense. That was $100 I put towards other mods. I don't see why anyone in their right mind would run chrome or alloy wheels and run that rig off road. You don't think anyone in their right mind would downgrade to steelies that look like civic doughnuts. Let's just leave it at that.

I actually have $2000 worth of BBS rims on mine and I offroad with them. Mainly because I don't care, but also because they were on there when I bought the vehicle. If I were to put $2000 in rims on there now they'd be ugly beadlocks

I have considered making a steel cover that fastens over the rims though. Mainly to protect them from rock rash, but as I mentioned, I really don't care about the rims enough to do that... Once they get beat to pieces, I'll put some beadlocks on it.

Some of the actual beadlocks ( not just the fakes) are looking pretty decent these days.

i like mine... they make the jeep look a little more rugged... more like a jeep than the standard 5-spokes i had once upon a time.

Not a fan of the black wheels with Patriot Blue, TBH. If I DID get steelies, they'd be silver.

I don't like the offsets available though. I'd much rather not rip off my flares when stuffing a wheel.

I think the soft 8's look better then my stock steelies. Now If I had sport alloys, or those rennie alloys, I'd probably keep them. When I get my OME lift on, I plan on staying with 245/70r16's because I don't want to regear (and fuel economy). I think making the stance a little wider will make it look better, and keep it more stable. Will the extra inch each side really make that much of a difference though?

Unless I find some Rubis cheap, soft 8's are really the only rims that fit the bill. I could go buy some of those sweet AEV rims, but I rather save the money for a locker.

Thanks for the pictures guys. From what I can tell, the black rims look best on the silver sport kj when the gray fenders are bedlined black, and/or the kj has a nice dark window tint.
