So I thought I would get this movie out as many of you make reference to it, watched 1/2 so far and it's very funny.

Hey has anybody been following this thread on AJOR http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/sho ... hp?t=77224 about the guy with a JK comparing it with a Landy, and has turned into a bunch of highly modded TJ's slagging off the JK as a "mall cruiser" and "lame". Geez.... the TJ guys are really insecure about something

It just really baffles me as to why some people have to trash anything and everything they can, and turning on other JEEPS, they are kidding themselves, I know on the Mini forum, that kind of thing is simply not tolerated, you can have your own opinion, but you get a warning or even banned if you bag out another model or shape mini, Its about brotherhood, and keeping the Brotherhood ( and sisterhood, girls drive minis as well).

Bagging others in the Jeep family no matter what model they drive or how modded or standard it is, well, it's like they are saying "It's a Jeep Thing you wouldn't undrerstand" but really, they are the ones that actually "Don't Understand".

Funny stuff, 7 pages and the last 3 or 4 related to sledging each other over Tj v JK  I'm suprised someone didn't try to rope the KJ into it. It's like some sort of who's the best contest, I guess it was only a matter of time.

I remember when the TJ came out, I thought it looked very cheap with those plastic tail lights  It's grown on me and I'd be happy to have one, but there must have been this sort of sling fest some years back over the TJ and what ever it was prior to that. The CJ was much earlier wasn't it?

Oh well, glad I'm just a humble KJer :D

What's happened to you all? I keep this forum (and the KJ section of ausjeepoffroad) open all day so that when work gets boring (at least once every hour!) I can dive in and have a quick look at what's just been posted.

And today, that is a big fat zero, zilch, nada. Come on, where is everyone? I need cheering up with some inane trivia!

So anyway,

Over the weekend, in an attempt to solve the mystery clunk I ahve in the front end. I replaced the clevis pivot bushes. Not easy task, took most of Saturday and just as much of Sunday, The old ones were well and truely shagged. You could see that very clearly as most of the rubber had been crushed on the bottom, as well some had burst out. I was hard as I didn't actually have the right tools, but, I did make a jig for pressing out the old ones and it worked well, just had to do the last bit of removeal with a BFH. New ones went straight in no worries. Was a bugger to put back together by myself as well, getting that clevis fork back up into position was not all that easy, even with the lower ball joint separated.

Anyway, got it all back together, and.....

Well although much better, and restoring 10mm of lift in the front that I had lost, there still is a cluck. Not happy about that. As I said, it is much better, it doesn't cluck as I drive down the road and hit every little bump, but, as I say turn into a driveway, clunk! Time to start looking at steering rack maybe...
