ok4wd.com says only 1.5" of lift, is that accurate? how much lift are you guys getting with these coils?

I always see the OME advertised as 1.5", but that seems totally ridiculous. You can easily get 3+ with a little help from clevis and rear isolator pads.

OME advertises them as 1.5, but with rings etc like everyone else said its easy to get 3 inches of lift out of them

those rings and such only give you, maybe .5 to .75" or something though. not enough to account for going from "1.5" to 3!!

ok so without the rings we are looking at a solid 2.5?? And if you add a heavy bumper and winch it would probably settle down to 2"??

Id say just OME HD coils you would prolly br looking at 2 1/4 depending on how much it was saggin previously, and as far as sagin ask Tommudd he has an ARB and I dont think it has lost a .5" mine has settled maybe betwee 1/8"-3/16" and I have a bumper but its not quite as heavy as ARB

mine "maybe " settled an 1/8 inch or so with the ARB, no winch in it but even with a winch it would be 1/4 inch or so.

and no the rings only give you a 1/2 inch or so depemding on how many all the rest is from springs

Check out my post from last weekend. I just did the OME HD lift and the pics speak for themselves. Oh and fyi, no rings added or anything like that. Just pure OME.

so Sport why are you only asking about the OME927? are you just thinking about replacing the front coils and leave the rear spacer?

I want to put together a 4" lift that should be alot cheaper some others out there. I am trying to find a front coil that would give about 2" of lift to use with the KK clevis which apparently is about 1" longer and should give you 2" of lift just from the clevis alone. combine that and you get 4" - TOMMUD probably remembers this conversation.

So far the OME or BDS coils are the choices. I haven't heard much about BDS so I don't know what the spring rates are.

Thanks

oh ok so did you already get the KK clevis? I believe that the BDS coils are about the same spring rating as OME MD, so how are you planning on keeping your CV joints from messing up?

No, I have not ordered them yet. My rustys shocks are really starting to act up, making squishy noises and rattling. I don't want just get new shocks so I am thinking lets upgrade.

I would buy the shortened cv's or find a shop to cut mine down, honestly I don't want to spend the money on that but being that high there will be problems no doubt.

yes I remembered the posts
from some measurements I have already done, I think you will also need Als Gen 5 arms not the Gen 4.5s as they will hit it seems, so might as well fiqure that into the price. Also ...well let you know more later, still working

The 927 is sold as a 2" lift in Aust, if you don't have a front bull bar you will get more than the 2" easy. As far as I know the 297 is designed to hold the front up on the KJ with a bull bar.
