^^^ That first link is perfect for the Jeep CRD. And $95 is not bad for such a nice piece.

Neither does my home-made piece. Honestly, what's coming through your engine that will plug and need a pressure relief?

On their site:
We don't use anything like carts or automated payments. We prefer simple e-mails so we can communicate and know what the customer needs.

Sometimes we have custom requests, and that is something that cannot be handled automatically.

So, just send us an e-mail expressing your interest to place an order. We will get back to you as soon as possible. If you know what you want already, just list the items and we can reply with a total amount if your items are in stock. Paypal works best and quickest, but we also accept Postal Money Orders. Just let us know what is best for you.

Thanks!

Mr. Saikou ^^V

Just about all our products are made to order. They are made in a workshop, not a sweatshop.

It takes a minimum of 3 working days to ship any order after receipt of payment. We cannot do overnight shipments.

***Summer is peak season for orders and may require up to 10 days to ship.

We will always do the best we can for you.

I've contacted them today to see what they say about getting one made for me. I also asked if he would consider a group buy. So with any luck, I'll have some info tomorrow or early next week.

Just skip the hose clamps, hose will pop off and you'll be running the EHM if the pressure gets too high.

Are you guys referring to a pressure relief if the outlet gets clogged?

Ya, pressure relief if the filter clogs.

The provent safety valve is set at 50mbar = 0.73 psi (hard to get a tube to come off with this low of pressure)
This means the engine crank case will not pressurize above 0.73 psig

see http://www.republicsales.com/products/P ... ochure.pdf

Awesome. I'm very interested in one of these too (anyone want to buy a TDIWagonGuy CCV filter cheap?). I'll wait until you 1) work out the mounting details, and 2) hopefully arrange a group buy. :)

Chris, while that filter is prettier, my TDIWagonGuy filter has been functioning flawlessly for the last couple thousand miles.

Head over to TDIclub.com and send him a private message. He hangs out with the VW crowd and does not frequent this board.

My only issue with my filter is the mounting location. It was designed to in front of the airbox in a stock CRD, but I've done the V6 box swap on mine. Right now the filter is "floating" on the passenger side fo the engine by, by the TCM module. Works fine, but I'd rather bolt it to something.

Well I talked to the Mr. Saikou and attached his email below. I've never setup a group buy. Would we want to do one? Do I need permission from the mods here? How many people would be interested?
-c

"Hey! that sounds cool!

Yeah, let me know about how many would participate in your group buy and
I will figure out the discount.
I hadn't thought about Jeeps needing an occ, this would be interesting. I attached the basic drawing. The body is 3" diameter and about 5-1/4"
long. The inlet nipple adds another 1-1/2' to the height and the drain
sticks down about another inch.
Is there plenty of clearance?

Thanks, let me know if this will work for your application
Mr. Saikou ^^V"

ccattie, I'd be interested. You'd probably want to at least test-fit one unit to see if the bracket will work as-provided on/near the radiator support, or whether a longer or differently-bent bracket will be needed.

Hi ccattie,

I don't mind but I didn't want to crap in your yard. :) If he'll sell me one at this "group buy" price with bracket, I'd be happy to test-fit it.

Ok - I got the pricing done. I think it will be for as many as we can get. I'll find out if we need to give him a code or what but the pricing for the 951 OCC which includes welded mount & bracket will be $90.00 shipped (I'll double check if that is Canada too). That is a savings of $15.00 off the retail price. Not too shabby. I hope that is agreeable to you guys. I've never put together a deal before but this looks to be a great product at a great price.

My PVC unit is working great -- I changed the oil this weekend, and drained only about 2 oz of oil out. Must be because I am maintaining the oil level at the lower mark on the dipstick. But this is a great deal for this piece and it ought to fit very well under the hood.
