Well we may as well get started on this again because it was started around this time last year. Dean tells me that April Fools falls on a Saterday. Who is up for the 2nd Anual Fools Day Run at Paragon again? I know im totally ready for this and I have a special fund dedicated to the hotel there again. Lets get chattin on this!

Well, last year as I recall, Paragon was not happy about us doing a club run the same day as their monthly run. As this would be the first weekend of the month, that is probably the weekend they will have their monthly run. So we might need to rethink doing the run there. I don't think Rausch Creek would have a problem with us all there that weekend. We might want to consider going there instead. It's about a half hour south of Paragon, so for those traveling from the south, it would be a little closer.

David is correct. That will be the weekend that Paragon has their monthly run, and as David pointed out, they weren`t happy we did our run during that weekend.

Their are probably two choices that are available: A) Do it at Rausch Creek on that weekend or B) Have it during the MA run at Paragon April 15th.

Not happy? I'm sorry, did we run for free? Did we hold up some trail that they were using?

Well, then I think we should take the run somewhere else.

It wouldn't be the LOST Fools Run on any other weekend. If Rausch creek will have us, then there we shall go. And if it cost money, then our money shall go there as well.

Well then I guess Rauch Creek it is. Dang and I was really looking foreward to having that same HUGE crowd at Paragon again. Anyone know if there is a Fairfeild Inn or something similar to that at Rauch Creek? I really liked the luxary of Fairfeild Inn at Paragon.

Is there something special about having a run on April Fool's Day? I wasn;t around last year at that time, so I don't know.

Just because we call it the LOST Fools Run.
April Fools Days.
We are LOST.
LOST Fools, get it?

I had dash plaques made for last year's run.
Just like the OBX Sand run has to be on the Outer Banks.

I really like both places, but after running the Katrina Relief ride at Rausch I think that park is more club friendly, as are the owners. Once you get to know the trails you'll find that many of the green trails have blue or black sections with green bypasses. This way we can keep the group together and give everyone a trail choice when possible.

I believe a doof is a combination of a dufus and an oaf.

dufus(noun)
an incompetent and stupid, though well-meaning, person; also called doofus

oaf (noun)
A person regarded as stupid or clumsy.

doof(noun)
an incompetent, stupid, and clumsy though well-meaning person. Someone who should never be leading or driving your Jeep on a trail. A doof may think they are doing a good job of leading the group down a trail, but are in fact driving the group towards a cliff like a bunch of lemmings.

:D

lemming (noun)
Any of various small, thickset rodents, especially of the genus Lemmus, inhabiting northern regions and known for periodic mass migrations that sometimes end in drowning.

Might have to move it.

I know, I know. I made a big deal about it being on that weekend.

How about the weekend of the 8th?
