I've looked and looked and looked around the net or reviews and have seen 2 less than great reviews about this brand of lockers. The first the guy got a lemon unit and Aussie replaced it for free within like 3 days. The other was a review by a friend of the guy who broke his so not a whole lot of info on what happened. Other than those two cases they appear to be an outstanding unit especially for the price.

Just got this email:

The Chrysler 8.25 29 spline Aussie Locker shipment is in customs in JFK
as of Friday. We are hoping for customs clearing by Wed. and then in
our shop by Thursday. We have a test installation scheduled for Sunday
and assuming we don't have any unanticipated install issues we will add
the model to our web site for sale on Monday.

Remember that this locker is for an open carrier only.

Thank you for your patience and continued interest in the Aussie Locker.

So, keeping my fingers crossed, I will get my rear locker by the end of next week and maybe even have it in in time for my run at Strawberry trail in CA.

Thats why I will be on the horn with them first thing next Monday even if it is not on the website  I need it in Cincy by that following Thursday or Friday to get it installed before I go to H-n-H that Saturday. The Aussie and Al's v4.5's need to be on for sure before the East Coast Safari.

Yeah, I want mine too for 3 trail runs I have planned from now until Sept. We are going on a run on the 26th up in NorCal and I would really like it for that. I will be calling them Friday and Monday just to be sure. I am getting one of these on first order or I'll be PISSED! From the sounds of it though the guys at Aussie kind of expect a big response to it and hopefully they will be prepared. I am going to bve checking pretty much daily from Wednesday on. They are going to hate my guts if they don't already.

It looks like 50 units will be available Monday if the install goes well and a couple hundred more to follow in a couple weeks after that.

got another email from Aussie:

If we have a smooth test install on Sunday we will be on line by about
noon on Monday EST. Depending on our work load here we may get the
model put into the model listing on the web site but just wont open it
for orders until Monday.

So, here is an interesting bit of information I just got from Offroad Lockers...

"No, we are pricing the Aussie Locker for the Chrysler 8.25 29 spline with an introductory price of $ 299.99 which is about $ 150 less than the Powertrax model.

All Aussie Locker prices are subject to change particularly in this business environment where steel prices have increased over 60% in the past 12 months.

The Chrysler 8.25 does not have the same volume sales level as the Dana 35, Dana 30 and Dana 44 models."

Talk amongst yourselves...

ya that does suck but oh well, I recieved an email from him too saying "we should be able to handle the initial demand with
the shipment that arrives at our facility today. If not, there is a
much larger shipment scheduled to leave Australia on next Friday.

Thank you for your interest and patience."
