Ok I talked a salesman at Boost controller and ordered my hose kit (#TCS380) in blue. He told me they ordered several kits back on July 1st, And they would take about 6 weeks to arrive at his store. He has taken several pre-orders already. He also said that he only has a few more Blue kits and the rest are Black.

If you do call and order a kit tell him you are from this forum and you will get a discount. They retail for $299.98 and our forum price is $269.98 with an $8.00 Fed-Ex shipping charge.

Yes,

I spoke with Ted some time back in late June and he offered to check on their availability and called me back saying they were available now, with a 6 week delivery time. I sent him a link to the pics on this site and told him of the need for better CAC hoses. I ordered mine also.

Clarification question:

This kit is for the turbo to intercooler hose and the intercooler to intake manifold hose? Is anything available for the radiator upper and lower hoses?

I checked the website and they're not on there. Were they recently removed? Am I just an idiot?

No pics, just an alert box on top of the Samco sport CAC hoses, telling about their availability and the number to phone an order into.

I'd question the company since they can not even get the model years right, there is no such thing as a 2001 Jeep Liberty, the first model year was 2002.And yes I now they started production and sales in March 2001,but they all sold as 2002 model year vehicles.

I bought my black set today ! They said it was the last black set available for delivery in late August.

Thanks to Sir Sam for getting this ball rolling almost a year ago.

Thanks to the rest of the "pestering the vendor" club members.

Hi, Jay. The stock intercooler hoses from Mopar are not made of a rubber material that can withstand oil over long periods (10s of thousands of miles), unfortunately, because of some short-sighted designs, oil from the engine can end up getting blown through these hosts and over time, they stretch and slip, split down the middle, bulge, etc.

Replacing with Silicone hoses gives you a more stable material that is not as effected by oil, water, air, and time. If you've done something to prevent oil from entering the system (i.e. a provent filter or similar), you'll add a good deal of life to the hoses. Mine are original with 30k miles. Also, you can help them last longer by cleaning them periodically with a nice warm soapy water and a degreaser that's safe for rubber. That should keep you from having to drop the few hundred clams for Samco hoses. On the other hand, if you have some cash burning a hole in your pocket, go ahead and buy them. You probably won't have to worry about hoses for 15 years.

Oil and rubber are a no-no. Oil degrades rubber to a point where it breaks down and fails. That is why you can't use oil or grease on suspension bushings unless they are made from ureathane or silcon.

The inside of the hoses is silicone compound - it's the outside rubber compound that is the problem, splitting and allowing the nylon reinforcing webbing ply to unravel, allowing the silicone to rupture - GM used an outer-layer weave to prevent the rubber compound from deteriorating in the engine bay ambience effectively giving them a 2-ply rating - also used similar external weave on the engine-oil cooler hoses for same reason

That's not the company...that's me. I / we euro-people told Samco the kit fits '01-'04 CRD KJ's.

If I look at my ownership papers:09-19-2001. So if I am not a LOST member how am I supposed to know that my Cherokee is a 2002 model?

I would think they wouldn't fit if it said '02-'04!:D

Tony, for anyone in the US calling it an 01 KJ is just stupid. We go by a Model year system here, even though your vehicle may have been produced in 01, and sold in 01, its still a 02 model year, very common here actually.

In the US we do not go by production date of the vehicle, only by the model year. Here in the US it is common knowledge of your vehicle, just like you would know the color is red, you would know its an '02.

When I sell a car here in the US, I dont sell it as a 10/92 production date car, I sell it as a 1993.

When I first saw your sig I thought "This guy must either be stupid if he thinks he has an 01 KJ, made a typo, or has an 01 XJ" turns out you were talking about production date, not the model year.
