Oh yea, it's trimmed a bunch! I think it looks better. Now if someone would make a steel one like that I would be real happy!

If I had the talent and equipment I would try it. I can't see where a bumper has to be this big monster to protect the front end.

I agree, I am a minimalist kind of guy. My big complaint, ok only complaint, with the ARB is the massive size. :?

Bigger the better, plus like I said its not only a bumper its a seat, place to hold all the tools while you are working on it, etc etc    I just want another option for a rear bumper the heck with the front! Rear bumper is what is really ugly!

jsc7002, i have a newer KJ... 05! and I live in Oklahoma and I could let you "work" on mine if you wanted to!
I agree with the yall though, i don't want a gigantic bumper i just want one made of steel, has a set or two of round light holes, and has shackle points! just like scc's! oh and the price should not be more than $700 imho.

ya Im not a fan of big bumpers thats why mine is small and simple plus it was easy to make and its lighter mine is less than 50# and its 80% 1/4". haha Id love to do one for an '05+ but Id need to have it for a week prolly and I dont have access to a good plasma cutter or welder :(

I would think a metal, tubular style, would be able to be made to match the stock one like on Mike's pretty easily.

I cut out the notches for my tow hooks using a dremel. The bumpers are different on the 05-07's. Terry pretty much just took off the whole lower half!

I took off the lower half of my 05 with a dremmel. Works like a champ.

Has anyone contacted RL or SC to see if they are willing, wanting, or planning to make a simple (lightweight) bumper? I thought Marty was looking at building one, something similar to his XJ bumper that would be converted for the KJ. Something to think about.
